H Ford Motorsport παρουσίασε το rallyconcept. H παρουσίαση έγινε στο πλαίσιο της Διεθνούς Έκθεσης Αυτοκινήτου που πραγματοποιείται στο Birmingham της Βρετανίας. Το νέο αγωνιστικό αυτοκίνητο βασίζεται στο τρίθυρο Fiesta και αποτελεί τον επικρατέστερο αντικαταστάτη του Ford Puma που πρωταγωνιστεί στην κατηγορία JWRC του Παγκοσμίου Πρωταθλήματος. Η εξέλιξή του έγινε σύμφωνα με τις προδιαγραφές της FIA για την κατηγορία Super 1600, ενώ η Ford Rallye Sport έχει ήδη κάνει ότι απαιτείται ώστε το αυτοκίνητο να λάβει την απαραίτητη έγκριση τύπου (homologation) για να συμμετάσχει σε αγώνες σαν kit car.
